Margaret Thomas Memorial Scholarship
Margaret Thomas was well known for her gardens located in Herndon, Virginia where she grew and sold irises, daylilies, and peonies. The garden served as a living catalog and was a destination for artists, photographers, school children, and all who were drawn to its beauty. Several of our members knew Margaret or have visited her garden.
Margaret passed away in May 2011 and to honor her the Piedmont Blue Ridge Horticulture Society Board has created a Scholarship in her memory. Each year several $25 scholarships will be available to persons who may need financial assistance with their annual membership. If you need assistance and would like to receive one of these scholarships contact our Membership Chair, Mary Hutton, at mailto:m.hutton@pbrhs.org.
